ในการออกแบบสร้างอุปกรณ์เครื่องมือต่างๆของเราที่ใช้ตัวประมวลผลเป็น Raspberry Pi, Arduino ฯลฯ นั้น ถ้าเราไม่ใช้ Adaptor แปลงไฟภายนอก เราก็ต้องใช้เจ้าตัวนี้เพื่อแปลงไฟจาก 220V มาเป็น 5V เพื่อวงจรและตัวประมวลผลภายในกล่องประกอบอุปกรณ์ของเรา บางครั้งเราก็ต้องตัดสินใจว่าจะใช้ Adaptor ภายนอกดี หรือภายในดี ภายนอกก็มีข้อดีคือมันเปลี่ยนได้ง่ายถ้าเสีย และไม่กระทบถึงเรื่องความร้อนภายในกล่องของเรา แต่ในกรณีที่เราอยากเก็บงานให้สวย เดินสายไฟเข้าอุปกรณ์ที่เราสร้างเลย แบบพวกปลั๊กไฟต่างๆ หรืออุปกรณ์ของเราเป็นส่วนย่อยในกล่องใหญ่ ที่มีอุปกรณ์หลายอย่าง การใช้เจ้าตัวแปลงไฟนี้ก็จะดีมาก และยี่ห้อนี้ก็ดี และเป็นที่เชื่อถือกันอยู่ครับ
